Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center
of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing quality of
life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus
on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Critical
Care RN oversees and directs the care of the critically ill
patient, including high acuity and critical trauma patient
populations as well as general surgical, medical, neuro, and
cardiovascular interventions; TAVR, ECMO, and Open Heart patient
populations. Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of
all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Oversees and
directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining accountability
for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will
complete other duties as assigned.The Medical Center of

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the
State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active
multistate Registered Nurse license. BLS - Healthcare provider and
ACLS required through the American Heart Association or American
Red Cross. NIHSS, TNCC and/or TCAR preferred.B. Education: Graduate
of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.C. Experience:
Minimum 6 months RN experience preferred. Critical care experience
preferred D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate
effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health
care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others
within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical
thinking skillsLocated in Aurora, Colorado, offers over 346 beds.
It has five medical campuses, including the Main South Campus, the
North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial
Medical Plaza, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Spalding
Rehabilitation at P/SL. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center
with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center
accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor.
The South Campus has a Level III NICU. The hospital consistently
