Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled
Senior Accountant to join our team in Golden, Colorado. This
long-term contract position requires an individual with strong
attention to detail and a solid background in fund accounting and
capitals. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of
accounting expertise and a proactive approach to financial
operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee and execute month-end
closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. •
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are
properly recorded. • Prepare and post journal entries to support
accurate financial reporting. • Conduct thorough account
reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Perform
bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records
and bank statements. • Manage fund accounting processes, including
the tracking and reporting of fund activities. • Handle accounting
for capital assets, including depreciation schedules and asset
tracking. • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial
audits and compliance initiatives. • Analyze financial data to
provide insights that drive decision-making and strategic planning.
• Develop and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency
and accuracy. • Minimum of five years of accounting experience,
with a focus on fund and capital asset accounting. • Proficiency in
month-end close procedures and general ledger management. • Strong
ability to prepare and post journal entries with accuracy. •
Experience in account and bank reconciliations. • Knowledge of fund
accounting principles and practices. • Familiarity with capital
asset accounting, including depreciation and reporting. • Excellent
analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high
standards of accuracy.
