Debate teacher, our mission is to empower students with the
confidence, skills, and knowledge necessary to become effective

instructional time, re-teaching where needed, and promoting

consistently punctual and prepared for all lessons, coaching
sessions, staff meetings, and other professional obligations (such

foster belonging.Foster strong relationships with families through
consistent communication, home visits, and engagement in school
events, embracing each family's unique perspectives and promoting

interactions with scholars, families, and staff.Collaborate with
colleagues, special education teachers, and support staff to
deliver grade-level content and targeted interventions for all

efforts.Support school operations by assisting with daily duties
such as arrival, dismissal, and lunch, ensuring a smooth, safe, and
organized learning environment.RMP is fast-paced and data-driven.
Your role combines clear expectations but also requires flexibility
to adapt and contribute to our evolving Concept Essence.Speech &
Debate Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep will:Teach students how to
research and develop evidence-based arguments.Explicitly model and
practice public speaking skills, including tone, pace, volume, and
body language.Develop students' abilities to listen actively, take
notes, and respond respectfully to opposing viewpoints.Foster
critical thinking and reasoning through structured debates and
discussions.Create opportunities for students to write and revise
speeches and debate cases with clear organization and logical
flow.Provide targeted feedback on students' argument construction,
speaking style, and use of evidence.Prepare students for local and
regional speech and debate competitions, ensuring they understand
rules and formats.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate debate
skills across content areas when possible.--Education
Requirements:--Bachelor's or master's degree (any subject)Other
RequirementsWithin the first year of your employment, it's required
to complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and
Linguistically Diverse (CLD) -45 contact hoursPass a background
checkDemonstrate Eligibility to work in the United StatesPreferred
Certifications--Compensation and Benefits--Salary: Full-time
position with a salary range of $60,000 to $89,000, based on
experience and qualifications.Benefits: Includes health insurance
