Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in the Denver area serving students across multiple grade levels (K-12). This contract position runs through the current school year, ending May 22, 2026, with immediate start dates available for various specialized roles. Positions include: - Affective Needs Teacher at an elementary school, starting January 5, 2026, through the end of the school year - Learning Specialist roles at both elementary and middle schools, starting ASAP through the end of the school year - Significant Support Needs (SSN) Teacher working with students with significant cognitive challenges at a middle school, starting ASAP through the end of the school year Job Responsibilities: - Provide tailored instruction and individualized support for students with diverse special education needs - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet state guidelines - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including parents, administrators, and related service providers - Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly - Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations Qualifications: - Active Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education - Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work full-time, approximately 35 hours per week This contract position offers the chance to impact learners with affective, learning, and significant support needs in an inclusive and supportive environment. The role is situated in the Denver metropolitan area with on-site responsibilities.
