Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An immediate opening is available for a Special
Education Teacher to support a center-based program serving K-5
students in an elementary school located in the eastern side of the
Denver area. This full-time contract position involves working with
a caseload of 10 elementary-aged students with autism within a
structured classroom environment. The role requires collaboration
with and supervision of seven paraprofessionals assigned to the
classroom. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction
and support tailored to students with autism in a center-based
setting. Design and implement Individualized Education Programs
(IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines. Monitor student
progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Oversee and
collaborate with paraprofessionals to facilitate effective
classroom management. Communicate regularly with families and
multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated student support.
Maintain accurate records and comply with reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience: Active Colorado Teaching License
with a Special Education Generalist endorsement. Experience working
with elementary-aged students, preferably in autism or related
special education programs. Strong classroom management and
leadership skills to supervise paraprofessionals. Ability to work
full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility
to start as soon as possible, with an assignment through May 21,
2026. Location: Denver Area (eastern side), Colorado. This role
