Weekly Pay Range - $2151 To $2389 Job Title: RN Charge Job
Specialty: Operating Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Other (3x12
Hr) Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Experience: One year experience
preferred; Charge experience required; Familiarity with nursing
skills and knowledge specific to specialty License: Registered
Nurse License required; Current RN license in applicable state of
work or current RN license from a participating state in National
Licensure Compact for eligible states Certifications: American
Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ANCC National
Nursing Certification ANCC approved is strongly preferred
Must-Have: - RN License - Experience in therapeutic and diagnostic
interventions - Wound care experience - Patient care expertise -
Teaching and mentoring capabilities Job Description: - Assess
patients--- physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
through observation, interview, and review of medical records and
clinical data. - Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to
ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Develop and implement patient
plans of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing
standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. -
Demonstrate competency in various interventions including IVs,
incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization,
and specimen collections. - Promote, advocate, and collaborate to
protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient. - Provide
patient and family education by assessing learning readiness,
needs, and abilities. - Recognize the patient or designee as a full
partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on
respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs. - Deliver
care with respect for cultural differences and diversity of human
experience. - Delegate to non-RN personnel in accordance with state
Board of Nursing and hospital policy. - Use time, personnel,
equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality,
cost-effective patient care. - Act as a professional role model,
demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing processes. -
Manage resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies
with individualized patient and unit needs. - Use standards of
care, hospital policies/procedures, and regulatory guidelines to
guide practice. - Function effectively within nursing and
inter-professional teams, promoting open communication, mutual
respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient
care. - Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed.
- Seek learning opportunities and continuing education to maintain
skills and competence in clinical practice or role performance. -
Maintain professional records that provide evidence of competency
and lifelong learning. - Evaluate one's own integrity and nursing
practice in relation to professional practice standards and
guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Commit to
ongoing participation in hospital and unit-based meetings. -
Understand the value of measurement and the importance of
continuous quality improvement data. - Use quality measures to
improve performance and accountability for patient outcomes,
patient experiences, and the safe delivery of care. - Participate
in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and
research activities. - Use current healthcare research findings and
other evidence to expand clinical knowledge, enhance role
performance, and increase knowledge of professional issues. -
Perform charge duties as required. - Floating may be required to
any location within sixty miles of the original assignment location
or identified float zone. Float assignments may include duties
outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with
