Job Description:

Lead a team of nurses in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth operation of the unit.


Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs


Department: MHC Mobile Stroke


FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)


Shift: Rotating


Pay: $60.31 / hour


Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Supervise and mentor staff during assigned shift, determining staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability and patient acuity.
  
• Provide direct patient care as needed, floating between staff to assist with problem-solving and taking patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
  
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identifying issues that affect desired patient outcomes and responding to complaints through established channels.
  
• Perform role-specific duties, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers, ensuring staff has necessary equipment and supplies.
  
• Work independently with minimal supervision, using critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to make appropriate decisions.
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
    
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
    
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
