Job Description:

As a Surgical Tech, you will work under the supervision of a surgeon and RN, assisting the surgical team during operative procedures and maintaining the highest standard of sterile technique.

**Job Summary (30 words):** Assist surgical team during operative procedures, maintain sterile technique, and provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• 
  
• The Surgical Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, assisting with operative procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
  
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms, and setting up sterile tables with instruments and supplies.
  
• Uses physician preference cards to identify supplies and equipment needed for procedures and updates cards with any necessary changes.
  
• Prepares solutions and medications, properly labels and reports amounts used, and assists with draping sterile fields and counting instruments.
  
• Delivers surgical specimens and cultures, maintains a clean and organized environment, and assists with terminal cleaning of operating rooms.
  
• Provides excellent customer service, communicates effectively with surgeons and nursing staff, and anticipates possible problems or complications.
  
• Adapts to changing situations, prioritizes workload, and meets productivity requirements, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  
  
  **Requirements:**
  
  
  • 
    
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred, with experience in a specialty field also preferred.
    
  • Basic computer skills required.
