Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Surgical First Assistant to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art facilities in Colorado. This position requires a highly organized and compassionate registered nurse to assist in surgical procedures, providing direct support to surgeons and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. As an RN First Assistant at UCHealth, you will be expected to exercise critical judgment and provide essential assistance in surgical procedures such as handling tissue, providing exposure at the operative field, suturing, and maintaining hemostasis. Assist surgeons by providing direct surgical care and handling critical procedural steps. Function within the guidelines of pre-operative procedures and safety protocols. Ensure all surgical instruments are prepared and sterile prior to surgery. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and execute surgical procedures efficiently. Monitor patient status and provide updates to the surgical team. Manage surgical documentation and post-operative care instructions. Proficient in standard surgical techniques and protocols. Strong ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail during high-pressure situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage emergency situations with quick and decisive action. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CRNFA) is highly preferred.
