Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered
Nurse (RN) for our Medical Oncology Acute Care Unit, specializing
in providing top-notch care during night shifts. This position is
vital for the continuous support of our oncology patients at
UCHealth, a leading, nonprofit health system based in Colorado. We
thrive on delivering patient-centered care across our expansive
network of hospitals and outpatient facilities, striving to advance
medicine and improve lives. The chosen candidate will be at the
forefront of oncological patient care, ensuring optimal treatment
and comfort during their recovery journey. Provide direct nursing
care in accordance to hospital policies and procedures. Administer
medications, monitor patient vital signs, and swiftly respond to
medical emergencies. Coordinate care planning with other healthcare
professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and
their families on disease processes, treatment options, and
healthcare maintenance. Participate in or lead nightly patient
rounds with the healthcare team to update patient plans of care.
Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on patient
status and care. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance
with oncological healthcare regulations. Strong clinical skills in
acute care and oncology nursing Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and
potentially stressful environment Proficient in using healthcare
software and systems Ability to make quick decisions in emergency
situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Oncology Certified
Nurse (OCN) preferred
