Job Description:
UCHealth, a leader in patient-centered care, is looking for a
dedicated and skilled Travel RN specializing in Trauma Surgery to
join our dynamic team on the weekend night shift. This role
requires a high degree of skill, passion for patient care, and a
commitment to working with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to
excellence in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for direct patient care, supporting
surgical procedures, and managing recovery processes, among other
duties. This position will allow you to work across multiple
UCHealth facilities in Colorado, offering a diverse experience in a
state-of-the-art healthcare setting. Perform assessments, provide
care, and execute medical interventions for patients undergoing
trauma surgery. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and
other healthcare professionals to plan and implement comprehensive
patient care. Manage all phases of perioperative care, including
pre-surgical assessments, intra-operative intervention, and
post-operative recovery. Maintain detailed documentation of patient
status and progression. Ensure adherence to all current hospital
protocols and standards of care, and assist in the implementation
of new health measures. Educate patients and their families on
post-operative care, health maintenance, and preventive measures.
Advanced knowledge of trauma surgical procedures and emergency
care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capability
to perform under stress in emergencies. Proficient in the use of
medical software for patient management. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license
applicable to the State of Colorado. BLS/ACLS certification from
the American Heart Association. Certification in Trauma Nursing
Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
