Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit health care provider based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN)
for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Pool for night shifts. This
position involves providing top-tier, patient-centered care across
various ICUs within our network of hospitals and outpatient
facilities. As a valuable member of our float team, the successful
candidate will adapt to multiple clinical environments and
contribute to ensuring critical patient needs are met with
responsiveness and high-quality care standards. Provide
professional nursing care for ICU patients in various units,
adapting to the dynamics of each setting. Assess patient conditions
through consistent monitoring, communication with care team
members, and evaluation of treatment effectiveness. Administer
medications, maintain patient records, and implement doctors'
orders with precision. Educate patients and their families on
disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects
of therapeutic regimens. Participate in the development and updates
of patient care plans together with healthcare professionals.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations. Uphold the
highest standards of infection control, patient safety, and
compliance with healthcare regulations. Expertise in critical care
and emergency response protocols. Ability to adapt to varying ICU
environments and patient care requirements. Proficiency in using
electronic health record systems. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado. BLS/CPR
certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification.
