Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Critical Care experience and/or PACU experience Description: We are seeking a dedicated RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The unit incorporates a variety of surgical specialties. Staff will float between different areas as needed. There are a total of 59 bays for Pre-Op and PACU combined. Staffing includes approximately 70 team members. Patient ratios are generally 1 RN to 2 patients, with some same-day surgery patients having up to 3. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring technology. We follow industry standards for staffing. Candidates must have experience in critical care or PACU. Preferred candidates will have stroke care experience. The atmosphere is flexible and outgoing.
