The role involves working on various units that cater to a diverse patient population. The patient population includes adolescents aged 13-17 as well as adults aged 18 and older. Staff will manage a range of psychiatric conditions and treatment plans. The average length of stay for patients is typically 7-10 days. Registered Nurses will engage in acute stabilization of patients experiencing mental health crises. The work environment includes a hospital with a total of 96 beds across multiple units. Patient-to-nurse ratios are approximately 1:12 for most units and 1:10 for dual diagnosis and substance use disorder units. Candidates should have experience with behavioral health and dual diagnosis treatment. Other preferred skills include knowledge of CIWA and COWS protocols. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
