4/20/2026 About the Position Jackson HealthPros is hiring a
Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical
Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and
analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical
limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various
disease states. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s
degree in a related field as required by individual clients. Valid
ASCP or AMT certification required. Preferred: MLS (ASCP) or MLS
(AMT) certification noted by client. In licensure states,
laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty for the
department or location assignment as applicable to the state.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a CLS / MLS / Medical Technologist.
Client requires generalist experience covering hematology,
chemistry, coagulation, and blood bank. BLS (AHA) certification
required. Experience with EPIC Beaker required. Experience with
equipment including Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex XN3100,
and Sysmex CA5100/CA2500 preferred. Orientation requirement:
approximately 12 hours of orientation as specified by the client.
Clinicians must be available in-state for the week of orientation
even if some modules are remote. Ability to work weekends and
holidays as required by the unit. Must be a generalist. Phlebotomy
is not required. Valid driver’s license required for compliance
with facility radius policy. Assignment Details Facility Type:
Hospital. Unit/Department: MLS (Medical Laboratory Services) -
hospital laboratory. Shift Name: Nights. Shift Details: Nights
2000-0700 (noted also as 2030/2030–0700 and 1030p–7a variations;
primary assignment listed as 2000–0700). Schedule Pattern:
4x10-night schedule referenced. Weekend Requirement: Yes. Holiday
Requirement: Yes. Call Requirement: No call or standby. Orientation
Hours: 12 hours. Charting System: EPIC Beaker. Scope of practice:
Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Blood Bank. Generalist
