Job Description Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipe Fitter responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other trades to ensure safe and timely project completion. Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements Cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes and piping systems using appropriate hand and power tools Install pipe supports, valves, and fittings to ensure proper functionality and safety Test piping systems for leaks and system integrity; make necessary adjustments or repairs Weld, solder, or glue pipe joints based on material type and application requirements Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged or malfunctioning piping systems Adhere strictly to safety regulations, policies, and best practices Collaborate with other trades, contractors, and project teams to meet deadlines and objectives Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition Required Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of piping systems and components Experience working with various pipe materials such as PVC, copper, steel, and others Ability to safely operate hand and power tools Knowledge of welding, soldering, and pipe-joining techniques Preferred Skills: Welding certification Journeyman Pipe Fitter certification Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in industrial, commercial, or residential environments Hands-on experience working with PVC piping systems Education: High School Company Description Compunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
