Job Description:

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare organization in Colorado, is looking for a skilled Procedural Radiology RN to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in our state-of-the-art radiology department. The Procedural Radiology RN will assist in diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort during radiologic tests, including MRIs, CT scans, Ultrasounds, and X-rays. This position requires a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who can efficiently work under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of nursing care. Administering and monitoring patient sedation during procedures. Preparing patients for radiologic tests by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying protective devices to prevent exposure to radiation. Observing and documenting patient responses to the radiological procedure. Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare team members to improve procedure processes and outcomes. Ensuring all radiology equipment is functioning correctly and following safety protocols and regulations. Participating in patient education and the continuous improvement of patient care protocols. Proficient in using radiological equipment and technology Strong understanding of radiation safety measures and protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified Preferred: Radiology Nursing Certification (CRN)
