Clear Creek County is seeking a dedicated and community-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy Sheriff. In this vital role, you will be responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws, and providing support and security to the residents and visitors of Clear Creek County. Our commitment to safety, service, and community well-being makes this position crucial for maintaining public order and fostering a secure environment. Enforce federal, state, and county laws and ordinances. Patrol assigned areas and respond to calls for service. Investigate crimes, collect evidence, and compile case reports. Arrest individuals suspected of criminal activities. Provide testimony in court. Conduct traffic stops and issue citations. Assist in community engagement initiatives and maintain positive public relations. Coordinate with other agencies and services when needed. Provide first aid and emergency response when required. Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and practices. Proficient in handling and operating firearms safely. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to react effectively in emergency and stress situations. Capability to prepare clear and concise reports and documentation. Knowledge of criminal justice system and procedures.
